Summary
- A former West Point cadet drugged his girlfriend and administered abortion pills.
- He later studied at Cornell and Columbia universities.
- The woman is suing him for damages after the incident.

A former West Point cadet, Caleb Suh, drugged his pregnant girlfriend in her barracks and administered abortion pills, resulting in a miscarriage. Suh, who pleaded guilty to assault in June, subsequently attended Cornell University and was a graduate student at Columbia University as of October 28, 2026.
The woman he assaulted, a cadet in the class below him, wished to have the baby, but Suh proceeded with his plan. He impersonated her to obtain abortion medication and sedated her before administering the pills orally and vaginally. She was hospitalized after waking up alone and bleeding.
Following the incident, Suh inquired about the detectability of the abortion pills online. The woman filed a lawsuit under the alias Jane Doe, seeking damages for what her lawyer described as a life-changing event. Suh expressed remorse in court, stating he was "deeply and immeasurably sorry."
The lawsuit surfaces amid national scrutiny of university handling of student misconduct. It remains unclear what disciplinary action, if any, Suh faced at West Point after the woman reported him to the Army Criminal Investigation Division in May 2022.
Cornell stated Suh answered "no" to disciplinary violation questions on his application, despite West Point reporting him in good academic standing. He began his master's program at Columbia in September 2026, with his sentencing for the assault postponed until January 2027 to allow him to complete his semester.
