Teen Girls Steal Forklift for Wild Joyride

In Woodland, California, two teenage girls were apprehended by police following a bizarre late-night incident involving a stolen forklift. The joyride, which began shortly after midnight, saw the juveniles operating the heavy equipment across various parts of the city. Calls from concerned citizens alerted dispatchers to the forklift's movement.

Officers eventually located the forklift in Ferns Park, where it had been used to damage public property. The damage included a busted curb, an overturned concrete picnic table, and significant tearing of the park's grass. The two suspects attempted to flee on foot but were quickly apprehended.

Both juveniles were taken to Yolo County Juvenile Hall. They face charges including theft and vandalism. The police department humorously noted the charge of "operating a forklift without proper certification" in their public statement, clarifying it was a jest related to the incident.
