Ghost City Becomes Scam Hub

Forest City, a sprawling $100 billion development in Malaysia, now resembles a ghost town, housing less than 1% of its planned 700,000 residents. The once-touted "dream paradise" features rows of vacant skyscrapers and dusty apartments. This stark reality has taken a new turn as police recently conducted raids across 32 premises within Forest City.

These raids targeted alleged scam operations, leading to the arrest of 335 individuals. The suspects, primarily Chinese nationals, were operating cryptocurrency and love scams from call centers established within residential towers and bungalows. Authorities seized significant assets, including computers and mobile phones, and are working with Interpol to identify the masterminds behind these international fraud schemes.
