A man has been handed a significant restraining order and community sentence for stalking Liverpool footballer Marie Hobinger. Mangal Dalal, 42, targeted the Austria international with disturbing messages.
During the stalking campaign, Dalal sent images of underwear and expressed violent intentions towards Hobinger. These actions caused the midfielder considerable distress.
The court heard that Hobinger's performance on the pitch was negatively affected. She also felt anxious in her home and changed her daily routines.
