Michael Dome-Bemwin, a 29-year-old footballer who most recently played for Greengate District FC, is facing six charges of obtaining services dishonestly. The alleged incidents of "dine-and-dash" occurred in Westminster, Kensington, and Chelsea between January 29 and April 23. Prosecutors claim Dome-Bemwin failed to settle six separate restaurant bills, accumulating a total of £3,522.80 in unpaid debts.
The most striking allegation involves a bill for £2,047, attributed to two shots of Yamazaki malt whisky. Other unpaid tabs cited include £356.60 for whisky and water, £70 for seven pints of lager, and £408.65 for a fine-dining meal. Dome-Bemwin also faces charges for outstanding bills of £362.25 and £278.30 at two other venues.
During a hearing at Westminster Magistrates' Court, Dome-Bemwin pleaded not guilty to all charges. His defense stated that while he was present at the locations, he has "very little recollection of the incidents." The judge expressed surprise at the £2,047 whisky bill. Dome-Bemwin was granted bail, with his trial scheduled for December 7, 2026.
Dome-Bemwin has a history of playing for several non-league clubs. His most recent team, Greengate District FC, competes in the Essex Alliance Football League Senior Division, part of the 11th tier of English football.
