Florida Teens Accused of Brutal Murder and Arson
7 Dec
Summary
- Two Florida teenagers charged with premeditated murder.
- Victim found shot and burned in woods on December 2.
- Alleged motive involves social media blocking and insults.

Two Florida teenagers have been arrested and charged with first-degree premeditated murder in the horrific death of 14-year-old Danika Troy. Williams, 16, and Blevins, 14, are accused of luring Troy into the woods near Pace, shooting her multiple times, and setting her body on fire. Her remains were discovered on December 2, days after she was last seen by her mother on November 30.
Investigators believe the alleged motive involved a social media dispute where Troy had blocked Blevins and insulted Williams. However, Sheriff Bob Johnson indicated that this motive does not fully align with the forensic evidence collected at the scene, suggesting a potentially deeper or more complex reason behind the crime. Williams allegedly used his mother's handgun for the attack.
Both accused teenagers have had previous encounters with law enforcement. They are currently held at the Santa Rosa Juvenile Detention Center without bond, and the sheriff is seeking to have them tried as adults. A GoFundMe has been established to assist Troy's family with funeral expenses, and a local church plans to host a candlelight vigil to honor her memory.
