Six men have been charged in connection with a violent kidnapping and torture incident that began at the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort in Florida. The alleged crimes, which occurred starting the night of May 29, involved two victims being forced into separate vehicles at gunpoint by armed individuals wearing masks and gloves.
One victim was reportedly threatened with death and forced to call friends for money, with suspects mentioning taking fingernails if payment was not received. Both victims were taken to the West Broward Boat Ramp, where they were forced to kneel at gunpoint. Their personal belongings were stolen, and one victim was compelled to send $400 via Zelle.
During the ordeal, suspects allegedly threatened to burn a tattoo off one victim and fired a gun into the air to emphasize their seriousness. One victim was eventually dropped off in Cooper City due to concerns about an ankle monitor. The other victim feigned a seizure and was thrown from a moving car, allowing for their escape. Authorities recovered burned clothing and other evidence from the boat ramp.
