A devastating incident unfolded in Sarasota, Florida, on February 22nd, when 27-year-old Lily Z. Yard was found deceased in her home. The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office reported that Yard died from a gunshot wound to the head.
Authorities also found Yard's partner, 40-year-old Jordan M. Rouff, injured at the scene from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Rouff was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators have classified the case as domestic in nature, noting that Yard and Rouff were in an on-again, off-again relationship and had recently moved in together. The discovery followed a welfare check requested by a friend who had received unusual and worrying statements from one of the individuals earlier that day.
