Florida Man Flushed Cocaine, Caught with Stash

A 20-year-old Port St. Lucie resident, Shawn Hendee, was arrested on July 30th and is being held on a $490,000 bond. The arrest followed a search warrant executed at his apartment, which stemmed from allegations of cocaine sales. Informants and undercover investigators reported multiple cocaine purchases from Hendee in the months leading up to his arrest.

During the search of his residence, authorities discovered approximately 1.5 pounds of marijuana, 54 THC vape cartridges, and smaller amounts of MDMA and suspected Xanax. Police also allege Hendee attempted to flush cocaine down a toilet during the execution of the warrant. His 2019 Mercedes-Benz was seized as it was believed to be involved in drug transactions. Hendee declined to speak with law enforcement following his arrest. His girlfriend and another man in the apartment indicated awareness of his involvement in cocaine and marijuana sales.
