Florida Man's Betrayal Mission Leads to 110 MPH Arrest

A man was arrested in DeSoto County, Florida, for violating the state's super speeder law. The individual was clocked driving at 110 mph in a 60 mph zone around 1 a.m. on August 1, 2026. When questioned by the deputy, the man stated he was speeding to confront his girlfriend whom he suspected of cheating.

Despite his explanation, the deputy proceeded with the arrest, citing that traveling over 50 mph above the speed limit triggers the super speeder law. The man was handcuffed and placed in the patrol vehicle.
