Jailhouse Pregnancy Mom Now Charged With Assault

Daisy Link, 30, who gained national attention for becoming pregnant while incarcerated, is now facing new charges for allegedly assaulting a fellow inmate at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. The incident occurred on Monday when Link reportedly entered the victim's cell and began punching her repeatedly.
According to the arrest report, the victim sustained minor injuries and stated there was no exchange of words or known reason for the attack. Link has been charged with battery by detainee and entered a not guilty plea.
Link was found guilty of the 2022 murder of her partner, Pedro Jimenez, in October 2023. She is currently being held at the correctional center pending an appeal of her murder conviction, with her next hearing scheduled for February 6.
