Bradford Todd Picariello, a 65-year-old charter boat captain, was arrested on Monday in the Florida Keys on charges including cocaine trafficking and possession. Authorities intercepted Picariello during an alleged drug deal at his business, Outlaw Fishing Charters, in Marathon. He was reportedly found with approximately 23 kilograms of cocaine, a handgun, and about $8,000 in cash on his 38-foot vessel.
During the encounter, Picariello allegedly offered an additional 100 pounds of cocaine to the undercover deputies posing as buyers. He also reportedly instructed the undercover agent to bring a cooler to make the transaction appear as if he was collecting fish. Following his arrest, Picariello led authorities to a storage unit where more of the illegal substance was found.
