- Fake Flipkart call center operated from a Ghaziabad house.
- Gang targeted online shoppers across at least five states.
- Six arrested; accused of defrauding customers of Rs 2.5 lakh.

Police in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, have dismantled a fake Flipkart call center, arresting six individuals involved in a widespread cyber fraud operation. The gang operated from a residential house in the Shakti Khand area, impersonating Flipkart customer support to target online shoppers.
The accused allegedly used customer data supplied by the racket's mastermind to contact victims. They would claim payment issues or order discrepancies, then persuade shoppers to make new payments or share sensitive verification details.
Investigations indicate the fraud ring had targeted customers in at least five Indian states, including Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Telangana. A case registered in Cyberabad, Telangana, has also been linked to this operation. The total amount defrauded is estimated at Rs 2.5 lakh, though authorities suspect the figure could be higher.
Authorities seized 10 mobile phones used in the fraudulent activities and Rs 20,010 in cash. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend two other identified suspects, Kajal and Siddharth, and to trace the full extent of the network, including bank accounts used for illicit transactions.
