Highly Flammable Chemicals Stolen in North Lincs

Police are seeking information after four containers of highly flammable chemicals were stolen in North Lincolnshire. The incident occurred around 05:45 GMT on Wednesday when four men entered a business premises in Flixborough, near Scunthorpe. They loaded two silver and two black barrels, each weighing approximately 110kg, into a white Volkswagen Golf and fled the scene.

Superintendent Tim Harrison urged the public not to approach the containers if found, emphasizing they are labelled as flammable and advising an immediate call to 999. The priority is to locate and safely recover the missing barrels, which may have been discarded. Police also noted that four men matching the suspects' description were seen acting suspiciously at another business shortly before the theft.

Enquiries suggest the suspects may have traveled outside the local force area and towards South Yorkshire. Anyone with information or relevant CCTV footage is encouraged to contact Humberside Police.
