Summary
- Drunk men assaulted an on-duty fireman for objecting to their car parking.
- The trio was arrested and remanded to judicial custody till March 2.
- The incident occurred early Saturday near a Kolkata fire station.

An on-duty fireman faced assault from three intoxicated individuals early Saturday near the fire department headquarters on Mirza Ghalib Street in Kolkata. The confrontation began when the fireman objected to a car being parked in front of the station's main entrance, a critical point for emergency vehicle access.
The situation quickly escalated from a verbal dispute to physical violence. The accused allegedly assaulted the fireman and damaged his uniform, causing alarm among other personnel. The fire department promptly notified the Park Street Police Station.
Responding officers arrived, apprehended the three youths, and brought the situation under control. The arrested individuals, identified as Pawan Sharma, Krishna Sarkar, and Adarsh Sharma, were presented before the Chief Judicial Magistrate's Court in Kolkata on Sunday. The court ordered their judicial custody until March 2, denying their bail plea.
The public prosecutor opposed bail, citing the assault on a government employee under the influence of alcohol. This incident highlights the challenges faced by emergency service personnel when critical access points are obstructed.
