Pune Rural police revealed a disturbing murder plot by Siya Goyal, fiancée of real estate director Ketan Agarwal, and her partner, Chetan Chaudhary. The couple executed at least three failed attempts to kill Agarwal at Lohagad Fort before finally succeeding on June 18. The initial attempt on May 31 involved Goyal pushing Agarwal off a cliff, claiming it was a rescue from a snake.
A second attempt was thwarted on June 4 when Agarwal's mother refused to let him return to the fort. Suspiciously, Agarwal's passport went missing en route to a planned Bali trip, forcing its cancellation. Goyal was allegedly responsible for misplacing it, though she claimed it was an accident.
The final successful attempt occurred on June 18 when Goyal and Chaudhary pushed Agarwal off a 300-foot-deep gorge at Lohagad Fort. Police revealed Goyal and Chaudhary had been in a relationship for eight months, with their families having social ties. Agarwal's father expressed disbelief and plans to pursue justice for his son.
