Summary
- Man and son arrested for murder and beheading of 22-year-old Vishal.
- Accused suspected Vishal's family in death of son about a month ago.
- Vishal's wife and 10-month-old son remain missing since October 6.
A man and his son were apprehended by Kharar CIA police in connection with the murder and beheading of 22-year-old Vishal. Vishal's decapitated body was found at Nature Park in Zirakpur on Thursday morning. The arrested individuals, Harpal and his son Rahul, are reportedly from Uttar Pradesh and reside in Pirmuchhalla.
Authorities suspect the motive for the brutal killing was revenge. The accused allegedly believed Vishal and his family were involved in the death of Harpal's son, Bablu, approximately one month ago. Police are working to recover the murder weapon and identify any other potential accomplices.
Vishal, a laborer, was last seen searching for his wife, Roli, and their 10-month-old son, who disappeared on October 6. Investigators are examining how Vishal was lured into the forested area where his body was discovered near the Pirmuchhalla dumping ground. The search for Roli and the child is ongoing.
