- The father suspected infidelity and the boy's paternity.
- The accused father has a history of violence and theft.

A four-year-old boy tragically lost his life on August 9th, four days after a brutal assault by his father on the PVNR Expressway. The child had been in critical condition since the August 5th attack, which doctors described as shattering his skull. The accused, identified as 25-year-old Salman, has a prior record for theft and documented violence against his family.
Investigators revealed Salman harbored suspicions of his wife's infidelity, leading him to doubt the boy's biological fatherhood. His wife and mother had previously reported his violent behavior to the Golconda police, but interventions resulted in the family being reunited. Salman's mother confirmed his history of alcohol addiction and violence, expressing deep sorrow over the gruesome nature of her grandson's death.
The horrific incident occurred near Pillar No. 104. Following an argument the previous night, Salman allegedly assaulted his wife and mother while intoxicated. After his wife left for her parents' home with their daughters, Salman took their son, Armaan, purportedly to a relative's house. Instead, he violently struck the child's head against the expressway pillar. Witnesses intervened, overpowering Salman before he could flee. The boy was rushed to the hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries days later.
Authorities have upgraded the charges against Salman from attempted murder to murder under Section 103 of the BNS. He has been remanded to judicial custody following his court appearance.
