A disturbing crime has come to light where a 65-year-old retired sub-inspector is accused of strangling his 33-year-old daughter in Agra. The father had filed a missing person report for his daughter on October 30. However, her skeleton was eventually found concealed under a bridge in Etawah on Sunday evening.
Authorities were alerted by a video in which the deceased woman had voiced her fear of being killed by her parents. Surveillance footage and this crucial evidence led to the father's apprehension. He confessed that the murder was carried out because his daughter was involved in a relationship with her nephew, a union the family opposed.
The accused, along with his wife and nephew, allegedly transported the body to Etawah and disposed of it in the Yamuna river. The skeleton was recovered on Sunday after the accused identified the remains. DNA testing is expected to confirm the identity.
