Officers responded to a report of a stabbing and found Jerry Sampson Jr., 47, suffering from a single stab wound. He was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities have identified and apprehended Zuberi A. Douglas, 50, also of Marietta, in connection with the incident. Douglas has been booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center and faces serious charges. These include felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a knife during the commission of a crime.
