Influencer Accused in Cafe Owner's Suspicious Death
14 Oct
Summary
- A cafe owner died after falling from an apartment building.
- Police are investigating the death as a murder, not an accident.
- A fashion model and social media influencer is among the accused.
Police in Lucknow are actively searching for a fashion model and social media influencer, Shraddha Dubey, and four other individuals in connection with the suspected murder of a 27-year-old cafe owner, Shiva Sharma. Sharma died on October 9 after an incident where he fell from the fourth floor of an apartment building.
What was initially considered a possible accidental death has been reclassified as a murder investigation following a complaint filed by Sharma's family. They allege that he was subjected to assault and torture before his death. Sharma's mother claims her son sustained numerous injuries, including fractures and cigarette-burn marks, consistent with a brutal assault.
Shraddha Dubey, who has a background in fashion blogging and modeling with a significant social media following, is accused along with her sister, their driver, and two others. The family alleges that Dubey had been harassing Sharma for months, threatening him and demanding he be handed over to her. Police have formed six teams to trace the absconding accused and have announced a reward for information leading to their capture.
