Faridabad 'Psycho Killer' Gets Life Term for Woman's Murder

A Faridabad court has handed down a life sentence to 54-year-old Singh Raj for the kidnapping and murder of a 21-year-old woman in 2022. The conviction, announced on Wednesday, also includes a fine of Rs 2.1 lakh.
The case came to light when the victim's family reported her missing in January 2022. Her remains were discovered shortly after, leading to Raj's arrest. He confessed to strangling the woman after she allegedly blackmailed him.
During the investigation, Raj admitted to a string of other murders, including those of three minors and two relatives. Police noted that he had previously been acquitted in the case involving his uncle and cousin due to insufficient evidence.
