In Badoli village, Faridabad, police have arrested a man named Birbal for the alleged murder of his friend, Rizwan. The incident occurred on Thursday night and is believed to have originated from a dispute over buying meat on credit. Rizwan, a local scrap dealer, and Birbal had a prior disagreement two days before the fatal event, also related to meat credit.
The situation escalated on Thursday evening when Rizwan again sought meat on credit, but Birbal, present at the meat shop, confronted him. Accusations and verbal abuse ensued, leading Birbal to follow Rizwan and stab him multiple times with a knife. Rizwan succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Authorities stated that Birbal, a daily-wage labourer addicted to alcohol, was intoxicated during the incident. Investigations involved reviewing CCTV footage and questioning locals to track and apprehend Birbal, who was found in a jungle area near Badauli village.
