In Gurnam Nagar, a police raid on September 6 led to the apprehension of Shubham alias Goru, a wanted accused, along with two others. However, the situation escalated when the accused's family members allegedly intervened, blocking the police vehicle and forcibly pulling Shubham to safety. The incident resulted in a scuffle between the family and police personnel.
An FIR has been registered at the Salem Tabri police station, naming Vicky Hathori, his two daughters (one of whom is Shubham's wife), and others for obstructing the police party and facilitating the escape. According to the complaint filed by ASI Amrik Singh, the family allegedly surrounded the police vehicle, placed a scooter to block it, and intimidated the officers.
During the confrontation, Shubham's wife reportedly threatened to implicate the police in a false case after sustaining a minor injury. Members of the crowd then allegedly opened the police vehicle's rear window to pull Shubham out. Further investigation into the case is currently underway by the authorities.
