In Etawah, authorities apprehended three family members for allegedly fabricating a robbery to seize a woman's jewelry and cash. The incident unfolded when the woman's brother reported a bike-borne robbery near Kedareshwar Temple, claiming his sister Dolly was targeted.
However, police found the complaint suspicious during initial questioning. Intensive interrogation revealed the alleged robbery was a ruse. The woman reportedly handed over her jewelry bag to her father, brother, and uncle, who then falsely reported the theft to the police.
Following directives from SSP Brijesh Kumar Srivastava, Civil Lines police arrested the father, Dilip Kumar, and the uncle, Saurabh, along with the brother, Vishal, near the temple. Law enforcement successfully recovered various jewelry items, including bangles, a mangalsutra, rings, anklets, and a waist chain, along with cash from the accused.
