During his apprehension on Friday morning, officials seized a fake pistol, a regimental cane, and a purported identity card bearing the seal of the Armed Forces Medical College dean, suspected to be forged. Investigations revealed the accused, a Delhi resident, had repeatedly failed NEET medical entrance exams.
Authorities are now probing the full extent of his deception, including how he obtained the uniform and fake identification. An Army intelligence team from Bareilly has taken charge of the investigation, aiming to uncover the motive and determine if others were involved in this elaborate ruse.
