Ex-Premier League Boss Pardew Banned from Driving for Speeding in £80K Porsche
17 Nov
Summary
- Pardew banned from driving for 6 months after multiple speeding offenses
- Pleaded to avoid ban to care for 93-year-old mother, but request denied
- Caught speeding 4 times, 3 times over 20mph limit

On November 17, 2025, former Premier League football manager and TV pundit Alan Pardew was banned from driving for 6 months after repeatedly speeding in his £80,000 Porsche Macan. The 64-year-old had pleaded with magistrates to avoid the ban, arguing that it would prevent him from caring for his frail 93-year-old mother. However, the court ruled that the circumstances did not constitute exceptional hardship.
Pardew was caught by an automatic speed camera driving at 26mph in a 20mph zone in Clapham, south London, earlier this year. This latest offense took his total to 12 penalty points, resulting in the 6-month driving ban. In the past, Pardew had been caught speeding three times over 20mph limits on March 20, 2022, May 25, 2022, and May 19, 2023.
Despite the ban, Pardew has issued a warning to other drivers, urging them not to lose concentration in 20mph zones, as it is easy to inadvertently exceed the limit. He acknowledged his mistakes and apologized for the inconvenience caused by his actions.
