10 Feb
Summary
- Officer pulled over a motorist and asked sexually charged questions.
- He allegedly made inappropriate comments about her body.
- The former officer was arrested on an official oppression charge.

A former Prairie View police officer, Scott Mills, is in custody facing an official oppression charge stemming from an alleged sexual harassment incident that occurred in June 2024. Mills was booked into jail on Monday evening.
Authorities state that Mills, while in uniform and driving a marked police SUV, stopped a victim on Ella near Kuykendahl. He allegedly made inappropriate remarks, including sexually charged questions about the victim's attire and body.
The victim reported that Mills also touched her and suggested that complying with his demands, specifically taking his phone number, was the only way to avoid further consequences.
Police were able to identify Mills through the phone number provided. While the incident happened in June 2024, the charge was filed recently. Mills' employment with Prairie View police ended in January 2025. Records indicate a previous theft charge from 2022 was dismissed due to insufficient evidence.
