An arrest has been made in the tragic deaths of Ohio dentist Spencer Tepe and his wife, Monique Tepe. Michael David McKee, identified as Monique's ex-husband, faces two murder charges in Franklin County Municipal Court. He was apprehended in Winnebago County, Illinois, on January 10th, and is awaiting extradition to Ohio.
The couple was discovered shot inside their Weinland Park home on December 30th, with their two young children present and unharmed. Authorities utilized neighborhood video surveillance to identify McKee, tracking a vehicle that arrived shortly before the homicides and departed soon after. This vehicle was later located in Rockford, Illinois.
Columbus police have not yet publicly disclosed a motive for the double homicide. The investigation is focusing on the time frame between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. on December 30th, believed to be when the killings occurred. This incident follows the couple's upcoming fifth wedding anniversary on January 30th.
