Summary
- Crime scene photos showed a bullet hole and blood stains.
- The former officer claims self-defense after a struggle.
- Victims' belongings were allegedly dumped in a skip bin.
Harrowing crime scene photos from Jesse Baird's Paddington home were presented to the jury in the murder trial of former police officer Beau Lamarre-Condon. Lamarre-Condon, 31, has pleaded not guilty to murdering Baird and Luke Davies with his service weapon on February 19, 2024.
The photos revealed blood staining highlighted by luminol in Baird's home, including a bloodstained tarpaulin under the floorboards. A misshapen bullet and a bullet hole in a bedroom door, initially concealed, were also shown.
Prosecutors allege Lamarre-Condon cleaned the scene and disposed of the victims' bloodied belongings, including personal items and clothing, in a skip bin. A bloodied shoe print from the bin matched prints found near where the bodies were discovered.
The defense stated Baird and Davies were shot in self-defense following a struggle. Lamarre-Condon's immediate cleanup was attributed to panic. The trial continues.
