Regarded as one of the most gifted French players of his generation, Gueho's talent was so profound that some compared him favorably to Kylian Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele. However, his promising career was derailed by off-pitch struggles, including a bipolar disorder diagnosis in 2016, for which he was undergoing heavy treatment at the time of the attack.
