A shocking incident has prompted a police manhunt after a 95-year-old woman was tied up during an attempted robbery in Salford. The elderly resident was targeted yesterday morning when a man, offering to clean her windows, gained entry to her home.
Inside, the suspect tied the woman's hands and demanded cash. Fortunately, the would-be thief was interrupted by the arrival of another woman, known to the victim, before fleeing the scene. Officers from Greater Manchester Police responded to the incident yesterday, finding the OAP uninjured.
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 60-70 years old, with short, mousy brown hair, glasses, and wearing a dark raincoat. Police are appealing for public assistance, including CCTV and doorbell footage, to help locate him.
