In Marshall, Texas, a man identified as Gerardo Alfredo Flores Pacheco, who was already on bond for a DWI offense, was arrested on Saturday evening following a significant traffic collision. The incident occurred on West Grand Avenue around 5:39 p.m. and left two adults and two children injured.
First responders arrived to find that the driver of the second vehicle had fled on foot. While authorities and community members searched for the suspect, aid was provided to the injured victims. Pacheco was eventually located hiding beneath a house near the crash site.
He faces multiple charges, including four counts of intoxication assault and failure to stop and render aid, both third-degree felonies if convicted. He was also charged with resisting arrest. Investigators discovered that Pacheco was sought in Georgia for prior DWI-related offenses.
