1 May
Summary
- Man accused of plotting attack on two Dutch princesses.
- Suspect allegedly possessed axes with disturbing carvings.
- Princess Amalia previously faced security threats.

A Dutch man, aged 33, is scheduled to appear in court next week on charges of plotting an attack against Princess Amalia, the heir to the throne, and her sister, Princess Alexia. The alleged plot was set to occur in February in The Hague.
Court documents revealed the suspect was found with two axes bearing carvings of 'Alexia,' 'Mossad,' and 'Sieg Heil.' He also allegedly possessed a handwritten list mentioning 'Amalia,' 'Alexia,' and 'Bloodbath.'
Princess Amalia, 22, has been a target of threats before. In 2022, she was forced to move from Amsterdam to her parents' palace due to threats believed to originate from criminal elements. Her mother, Queen Maxima, described the significant impact on Amalia's life, stating she 'can't leave home.'
Following the 2022 threats, Amalia spent several months living in Madrid. She later honored the Spanish capital by opening a tulip garden. This is not the first time a man has been convicted in connection with threats against the princess; in 2020, an individual was found guilty of threatening her and a friend via Instagram.
