Panchkula Police Nab Duo in Cross-State Murder Ring

Panchkula police apprehended two men, Shivam Sharma and Gopal Kumar, on December 15th for allegedly providing crucial support to individuals involved in recent murders. The arrested duo, both from Faridkot, are accused of supplying weapons, vehicles, mobile phones, and shelter to those responsible for the murder of Inderpreet alias Parry in Chandigarh on December 1st. Their alleged criminal activities also extend to sheltering suspects in the earlier murder of national Kabaddi player Sonu Nolta in Pinjore.
During interrogation, Sharma and Kumar revealed their involvement in heroin trafficking and confessed to planning another murder in Faridkot targeting a youth named Ajay, along with associates Ankush and Piyush Piplani. Sharma has prior drug trafficking charges, while Kumar faces assault and brawl accusations. The police are actively pursuing the remaining absconding accused, including Piyush Piplani.
