Dublin Gardai Seize €600K Cash in Crime Crackdown

Gardai have successfully seized more than 600,000 euro in cash following targeted searches at two business premises in Dublin. The operation was conducted by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau as part of Operation Tara, an ongoing initiative to combat organised crime.
During the raids on Friday, officers also recovered digital devices believed to be of significant evidential value. Three men, aged in their 30s and 40s, were subsequently arrested and detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007 at garda stations in the capital.
Assistant Commissioner Angela Willis praised the seizure, highlighting it as evidence of intensified efforts against facilitators of illicit finance. She noted that the Bureau has seized over three million euro in cash this year, underscoring their commitment to dismantling high-risk criminal networks and enhancing community safety.
