Aniya Keosongseng, a 21-year-old daycare teacher in Plymouth, Minnesota, has been accused of child endangerment while working intoxicated. On February 23, a colleague called police fearing Keosongseng was having a panic attack.
Upon arrival, officers observed Keosongseng slurring her words and stumbling, with a blood alcohol content of .356. Surveillance video allegedly shows her slamming a child's head into a wall and then falling on the child.
Keosongseng, who cared for children aged 12 to 16 months, was responsible for feeding, diapering, and napping duties. She admitted to drinking alcohol during her lunch break.
When police attempted to arrest her, Keosongseng reportedly pulled away, dropped to the floor, and allegedly bit an officer. She was taken to the hospital and has been charged with gross misdemeanors.
Milestones Early Learning Center terminated Keosongseng's employment immediately. While the center stated they did not observe any child injury, they are following up with police regarding the report's discrepancies. Keosongseng's first court appearance is scheduled for April 16.
