Vincent Battiloro, now 18, faces murder charges after allegedly killing two 17-year-old girls, Maria Niotis and Isabella Salas, who were riding electric bikes. The incident occurred on September 29, 2025, in Cranford, New Jersey. Prosecutors allege Battiloro deliberately struck the teens at a high speed with his Jeep.
Remarkably, the day after the alleged killings, Battiloro livestreamed, seemingly unbothered by the tragedy. He reportedly discussed and boasted about the online "engagement" he was receiving from viewers commenting on the deaths. He also stated that there was "more to the story" but he was not authorized to discuss it further.
Dash cam video from Battiloro's own vehicle reportedly captured him driving to the area, making a U-turn, and accelerating into the two girls. He then fled the scene on foot. Battiloro's identity was initially withheld as he was a minor at the time of the alleged crimes, but his case was moved to adult court on June 26, 2026.
Niotis family's representative expressed gratitude that the case will proceed in adult court, viewing it as a "welcomed sliver of justice." The family also raised questions about previous alleged incidents of swatting at their home by Battiloro in September 2025, seeking answers and conducting their own investigations.
