A criminal investigation is underway in Evansville, Indiana, following allegations that a DoorDash delivery driver intentionally tampered with a customer's food order. Footage from a doorbell camera reportedly shows the driver spraying an irritant substance onto the Arby's bag before leaving the residence.
The recipients of the order reported experiencing excruciating pain and burning sensations in their stomachs, throat, mouth, and nose shortly after consuming the meal. They discovered the tampering after reviewing their security camera footage, expressing fear that the substance could have been far more dangerous.
DoorDash confirmed the driver has been permanently removed from their platform and is cooperating with the Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office, which is leading the investigation. No arrests have been made at this time.
