- Owner admitted causing unnecessary suffering to her French bulldog.

Modesta Vaisviliene, of Gatis Street, Wolverhampton, has received a 10-year ban from owning animals following the neglect of her French bulldog, Boss. The RSPCA intervened after concerns were raised about the welfare of animals at her home.
Upon inspection, Boss was found in the garden, significantly underweight and in visible pain, experiencing mobility and toilet issues. A veterinary examination confirmed Boss weighed 10.1kg, considerably less than the expected 15kg. He exhibited signs of spinal and abdominal discomfort.
Vaisviliene pleaded guilty to an animal welfare offense at Birmingham Magistrates' Court on January 12, 2026. She was sentenced to a 12-month community order and must pay £350 in costs and a £114 victim surcharge. The RSPCA emphasized the importance of seeking timely veterinary care for pets.
