Djimon Hounsou Assault: Baby Mama Arrested

Djimon Hounsou reported an alleged assault by his ex-girlfriend, Riza Simpson, in December. He told police that Simpson struck him in the face with a closed fist. This incident reportedly occurred after Hounsou asked Simpson to vacate a townhouse he owns in Atlanta.

According to police, the couple's children were upstairs in the residence at the time of the alleged assault. While Hounsou stated the children did not witness the event, they may have heard it. Simpson was arrested on Friday, January 17, 2026, after police executed an arrest warrant at the same home.

Simpson faces charges for simple assault and obstruction. Officers stated she provided false information when confronted. Her children were with her when she was taken into custody. The children were heard crying during the arrest.
