The Dixon Police Department is prioritizing community safety this Thanksgiving with its 'Catch-A-Cab' program. This initiative provides complimentary taxi rides for residents and visitors to ensure everyone can celebrate responsibly.
The program is scheduled to operate on Thanksgiving eve, November 26, and Thanksgiving Day, November 27. It will be available from 9 p.m. until 2:30 a.m. each night, covering rides within the city of Dixon and extending up to two miles beyond its boundaries.
Dixon Police Chief Ryan Bivins highlighted the department's commitment to safety and thanked the community for their support. While encouraging designated drivers, the department will also increase DUI enforcement during this period. The Catch-A-Cab service offers an additional layer of support for a safe holiday.
