Disabled Driver Beaten After Crashing

Louie Watkins, a 23-year-old trainee engineer with epilepsy, reported being violently assaulted following a seizure that caused him to crash his car on New Barn Road, near Northfleet, Kent.
He described losing consciousness while driving, leading to his vehicle swerving and ultimately colliding with a tree after clipping another car. Watkins claims that immediately after the crash, an enraged motorist pulled him from his car and proceeded to punch and kick him. He states he was on the ground, curled up and trying to explain his seizure, while the attacker attempted to take his phone.
Emergency services arrived after Watkins regained consciousness. He was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital, where he received treatment for injuries including a black eye and was advised to rest for two weeks. A 47-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted grievous bodily harm and has been released on conditional bail.
