In Dhanbad, a man named Vikas Khandelwal was arrested on Sunday for allegedly killing loan recovery agent Amit Kumar Agrawal. The body of 54-year-old Agrawal was discovered at Khandelwal's residence in Surya Highland Society.
Agrawal had been attempting to recover a substantial Rs 1 crore loan from Khandelwal over the past year. The situation escalated when Agrawal, a resident of Dabudih, went missing on Saturday evening. His family reported him missing and received ransom calls demanding Rs 15 lakh, originating from his mobile phone.
Authorities utilized technical surveillance and mobile tracking to locate Agrawal's phone, leading them to Khandelwal's society. During interrogation, the accused reportedly confessed to the murder. Following his confession, police recovered Agrawal's body from the residence and sent it for a post-mortem examination.
