Two Deaths Probed: Woman in Torquay, Man in Hythe

An investigation has been launched into two separate deaths in Devon and Hampshire. On Saturday, officers responded to concerns for a woman at a home in Torquay, where a woman in her 70s was discovered deceased. Her death is being treated as unexplained by Devon and Cornwall Police.
Earlier on Saturday, police attended a property in Hythe, near Southampton. There, the body of a man in his 40s was found. Hampshire Police confirmed that his death is not currently being treated as suspicious, and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
Devon and Cornwall Police indicated that the man and woman are believed to have known each other. Detective Chief Inspector Dave Pebworth stated that inquiries are ongoing to ascertain the full circumstances surrounding both incidents, with cordons in place at both addresses to facilitate thorough investigations. An increased police presence will be noted in the areas.
