15-Year-Old Girl Dies by Suicide After Family Scolding in Deoria

On Sunday, October 26th, 2025, a 15-year-old girl named Shivangi Yadav died by suicide in her home in Mayil town, Deoria district of Uttar Pradesh. According to the police, Shivangi was scolded by her family members over her studies and household chores. After the reprimand, she went to her room and locked the door.

When Shivangi did not respond to calls from her family, they broke open the door and found her hanging from a noose made with a dupatta. She was immediately rushed to a doctor, but was declared dead on arrival.

Upon receiving the information, a police team reached the spot and sent Shivangi's body for post-mortem. The authorities are currently investigating the matter to determine the exact circumstances leading to the tragic incident.
