Delhi Police have arrested notorious gangster Mahfooz alias Bobby Kabootar, a key figure in the Lawrence Bishnoi-Hashim Baba gang, alongside his girlfriend Khushnuma Ansari. The arrest marks a critical development in efforts to dismantle the organized crime network.
Bobby Kabootar had been a fugitive for seven years, with authorities alleging Ansari played a crucial role in helping him remain underground. She reportedly facilitated his concealment and acted as a vital communication link for the gang while he was absconding.
Investigators claim Kabootar was involved in reconnaissance for the Sidhu Moosewala case. He is also accused of supplying foreign weapons for the firing incident outside actor Disha Patani's residence and is linked to two recent murder cases in Delhi. The increasing use of women in operational roles is noted as a strategic shift by the gang.
