In New Delhi's Model Town area, a 19-year-old named Shyam Sunder was apprehended by the police for an alleged stabbing incident. This arrest followed his continued harassment of a local woman, which included lewd remarks and obscene gestures.
The woman reported that Sunder had been bothering her and threatened her family when she warned of reporting him. The dispute culminated on the evening of March 12, around 8:30 PM, when Sunder reportedly attacked the woman's brother with a knife, inflicting three to four stab wounds.
Authorities registered a case under relevant sections of the BNS and subsequently conducted multiple raids to locate the suspect. Sunder confessed during questioning that he harbored a grudge against the family due to their objections to his behavior and admitted to the stabbing as an act of retaliation.
