In the Gandhi Nagar area of Shahdara, New Delhi, a 26-year-old man has been apprehended for the alleged murder of a fellow rickshaw puller. The victim, Danua (36), originally from Uttar Pradesh, was found deceased with severe head injuries late Saturday evening.
The incident unfolded after Danua and the accused, identified as Bunti, were consuming liquor at a dhaba. An intense argument erupted between the two intoxicated men, escalating into a physical assault. The dhaba owner reported that Bunti used a nearby wooden stick to strike Danua, causing his immediate collapse.
Authorities responded to a PCR call and discovered Danua's body. The accused, Bunti, also from Uttar Pradesh, was arrested at the scene, and the murder weapon was recovered. A case has been registered under the relevant section of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
