In a tragic discovery, the decomposed body of an unidentified man was found on October 23rd, 2025, in an under-construction house in Sajari village, Kanpur. The body, estimated to be around 5 days old, was discovered on the first floor of a house belonging to a sub-inspector posted in the PAC in Sanigawan.
Preliminary investigations reveal that a mentally challenged person had been roaming around the sub-inspector's house for several days prior to the discovery. Authorities suspect the victim may have climbed up through the stairs of the unfinished house next to the sub-inspector's residence and reached the first floor, where he ultimately died.
The body was in a highly decomposed state, with maggots present, making identification difficult.
